New Agent release (version  2.159.1)

Note:

Agent releases are rolled out over the course of the week. You may not see these changes right away.

All OSes

Fixes

  • Directory Insights events now successfully recover missing application names, improving administrative visibility into software activity.

macOS

Enhancements

  • Users can now save password changes longer than 64 characters and receive a validation message when submitting. This makes password updates clearer and more reliable.

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue to ensure Safari users are correctly prompted for JumpCloud Go enrollment in the India datacenter.

Windows

Enhancements

  • You can now enable the Self Service App Catalog user interface via policy. This provides managed users with a more direct way to access approved applications.
  • Device Admin controls now display a read-only state for single-selection cases. This makes available actions clearer and prevents misleading edits.
  • Reduced Device Trust certificate selection prompts. This makes device authentication faster and less disruptive for managed users.
  • The Windows Tray App now correctly hides password-reset controls when the password source is local.

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue by ensuring the Windows user agent automatically restarts if it exits during an active session, reducing interruptions to managed-user functionality.
  • Fixed an issue on the updated login window that caused some JumpCloud-managed users with new passwords to not be prompted correctly for their password.
  • Resolved an issue where Windows application installations incorrectly failed when Winget was present. Missing prerequisites now fail clearly instead of leaving an uncertain installation state.
