Get Started: Custom Messaging
Custom Messaging lets you create messages that appear to users in the JumpCloud User Portal. You can create a Login Dialog that users see when they sign in, or an Announcement Banner that appears in the User Portal after they sign in.
You manage both message types from Settings in the Admin Portal. Each message starts as a Draft. Users see a message only after you publish it. Published messages show as Active. You can target a message to specific user groups or to all users.
Accessing Custom Messaging
Configure Custom Messaging from the User Portal settings in the Admin Portal.
- Log in to the JumpCloud Admin Portal.
- Go to Settings > User Portal.
- Under Custom Messaging, click the Login Dialog or Announcement Banner tab.

The list includes these columns:

- Analytics
From each row you can View, Edit, Delete, Publish, or Unpublish a message. Use Search messages to find a message by title. Click Add to create a new message for the selected tab.
