Configure Miro for the AI Gateway

To allow your users to securely query boards and collaborate using their AI clients, you can configure the Miro Model Context Protocol (MCP) server within the JumpCloud AI Gateway.

Prerequisites

• Before configuring specific enterprise applications, we recommend reviewing the Get Started: AI Gateway guide to familiarize yourself with the gateway architecture and core AI concepts (such as MCP servers and AI clients).

Completing Application Setup

Miro’s MCP server supports OAuth 2.1 Dynamic Client Registration (DCR), so no app creation or additional configuration is required to connect it to the AI Gateway. See Miro’s Miro MCP Server and Connecting to Miro MCP to learn more.

On Miro Enterprise plans, MCP may be disabled by default. An admin may need to enable Miro MCP for your organization or team before users can authorize. See Miro’s admin documentation for enablement steps.

During authorization, users select the Miro team that contains the boards they want the AI client to access. To switch teams later, users must re-authenticate.

Configuring the Server in JumpCloud

See Adding MCP Servers in Configure AI Gateway Integrations and use the following values to configure this server:

• App: Select Miro (if you have an existing SSO application or bookmark), or + Add App to create it
• Name: Enter a name, for example Miro
• Prefix: Enter a value to prepend to MCP tool names
  • Note: Prefixes must be unique. Maximum 8 characters, letters and numbers only
• URL: https://mcp.miro.com
• MCP authentication method: OAuth
• Advanced fields: Not required

Your users will now see Miro listed as an available application when they authenticate their AI clients through the JumpCloud AI Gateway.
