Configure HubSpot for the AI Gateway

To allow your users to securely query CRM records, deals, and activities using their AI clients, you can configure the remote HubSpot Model Context Protocol (MCP) server within the JumpCloud AI Gateway.

Prerequisites

Before configuring specific enterprise applications, we recommend reviewing the Get Started: AI Gateway guide to familiarize yourself with the gateway architecture and core AI concepts (such as MCP servers and AI clients).

Completing Application Setup

Before you can add the server in JumpCloud, you must create a dedicated authorization app within your HubSpot workspace.

JumpCloud requires specific OAuth callback details to successfully route authentication tokens. When creating your connector, refer to the official HubSpot documentation to Integrate AI tools with the HubSpot MCP server and use the following JumpCloud-specific parameters:

• App Creation: In your HubSpot account, go to Development > MCP Auth Apps and click Create MCP auth app.
• Add Redirect URLs: To allow JumpCloud to securely route authentication tokens, you must add the following Redirect URL in your HubSpot OAuth settings depending on your region:
  • US:  https://console.jumpcloud.com/userconsole/mcp/servers/callback
  • EU: https://console.eu.jumpcloud.com/userconsole/mcp/servers/callback
  • IN: https://console.in.jumpcloud.com/userconsole/mcp/servers/callback
• Client ID & Client Secret: Save these credentials securely, as you'll need them for the JumpCloud configuration.
• Scopes: HubSpot automatically determines scopes based on the end-user's permissions in the CRM. You do not need to manually define them during app creation.

Configuring the Server in JumpCloud

See Adding MCP Servers in Get Started: AI Gateway and use the following values to configure this server:

• App: Select HubSpot (if you have an existing SSO application or bookmark), or + Add App to create it
• Name: Enter a name, for example HubSpot
• Prefix: Enter a value to prepend to MCP tool names
  • Note: Prefixes must be unique. Maximum 8 characters, letters and numbers only
• URL: https://mcp.hubspot.com
• MCP authentication method: OAuth
• Advanced fields: Enter the Client ID and Client Secret from HubSpot

Your users will now see HubSpot listed as an available MCP server when they authenticate their AI clients through the JumpCloud AI Gateway.
