Use Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) with JumpCloud to secure user access to your organization’s resources. See MFA Guide for Admins to learn more.
Prerequisites:
- Only Admins can enable or disable this feature.
Configuring Global MFA
To configure MFA:
- Log in to your Enterprise Portal.
- Go to Security > MFA Configurations, under Organizational Settings select the checkbox to allow individual organizations in an enterprise to set their own MFA configurations. Selections will save automatically.
When this checkbox is selected, the organizational Admins can view the MFA configurations but can’t modify globally enforced configurations.
If the checkbox is not selected, updates made to MFA configurations at the Enterprise level must:
- be automatically propagated to all Organizations.
- be reflected under MFA Configuration in each Organization.
When an existing user is elevated to an Administrator role, they inherit the MFA factors from the user role.
