Principal Product Manager, Device Management

Principal Product Manager - Device Management

Remote in the U.S. or Denver/Louisville, CO

About the Team

Our product team is empowered to identify what the future looks like and plan a path to get there using data, research, and empathy. We believe and operate in a “Product-led Growth” (PLG) model. We guide exceptional multi-disciplinary teams toward our collective vision while empowering them to do great work. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to lead key aspects of our strategy, drive them forward, and grow alongside the company as we change the future.

The JumpCloud Device Management organization is changing the way IT admins and users leverage their devices to get work done. The days of the traditional corporate security perimeter are over. Remote work - and the domainless enterprise - are here to stay. As such, we believe securing all work devices is at the crux of establishing trust, granting resource access, and otherwise managing a modern workforce. Our Cloud Directory Platform, including its deep support for devices such as laptops and servers, is making it easy for IT admins to manage the entire device lifecycle, from onboarding to active use to offboarding, while also providing end users a secure and painless means of getting stuff done.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will be a key leader in the Device Management group, responsible for creating and executing short term and long term strategies in line with company objectives.

  • You will develop product roadmaps and build alignment across product teams, cross-functional teams, other product areas, and the leadership/executive team.

  • You will be coaching, mentoring, or possibly managing a team of 2-4 product managers while also executing alongside them. This is a great role for directors of product management who want to continue to exercise their PM skills day to day.

  • Implement best in class product development and management practices to ensure deep problem space understanding, market analysis, solution exploration, and rapid incremental value delivery.

  • Rapidly iterate and evolve the product to meet customer needs, while creating extensible and scalable solutions.

  • Create solutions for the unique Directory problem space, while cohesively fitting into the broader JumpCloud product ecosystem.

We’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience directing strategy and execution of customer-facing products.

  • Experience developing products and services for Apple, Microsoft, and/or Linux environments.

  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment.

  • Track record of driving impact in a cross-functional, highly collaborative environment.

  • Swift, high-quality decision making, informed by customer and market data, but balanced with pragmatism and vision

  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums (visual, written, verbal) that inspire teams, simplify complex technical concepts, and bolster your decisions with focus and clarity.

  • Deep technical understanding of the Device Management, MDM, and UEM space is a huge plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics or related experience

  • Experience with device management or IT-related technologies such as MDM, software management, threat detection, cybersecurity, or remote scripting.

  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of product managers
